Mands sitting on a bench in a park, writing

I'm married to Steve, an Anglican vicar, and we live in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, with our teenage daughter and two guinea pigs. Since I was young, I've enjoyed stories and have always loved hearing people's personal testimonies of how God has moved powerfully in their lives. All those years ago I could never have foreseen the journey ahead of me, or how God would use my own story to bring a message of hope and transformation through challenging times.

Although I trained as a contemporary dancer, it was never something I pursued professionally because I was emotionally shut down. It is such a joy to now be able to dance with emotional freedom. God has indeed replaced my spirit of despair with a garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3). Alongside this freedom in my dancing, I treasure the freedom I find in nature. There is nothing I love more than walking locally through the woods, across fields or beside lakes, observing the wonder of God's creation.
